UMGC Global Media Center UMUC 2019 Korea Commencement Details Announced

 

Ceremony in Korea to Take Place April 27

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) Korea Commencement ceremony will take place on April 27 beginning at 11 a.m. It will be held at Seoul American High School Auditorium, USAG Yongsan, Seoul, Korea. Guest seating will begin at 10:30 a.m.

The ceremony will include a keynote address by Col. Scott W. Mueller, commander of Installation Management Command Pacific Region at Camp Humphreys, Korea. Mueller graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1994, where he was commissioned as an armor officer upon graduation. Since then he has held various positions at levels such as plank platoon leader, executive officer, military transition team chief and squadron executive officer, prior to his current role. Mueller holds a Bachelor of Science in European history from USMA, a Master of Arts in management from Webster University and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College.

James B. Cronin, UMUC vice president, and director, Asia, will preside over the ceremony. Music will be provided by the Eighth Army Band.

In addition to the ceremony, a post-commencement reception will be held at Dragon Hill Lodge, which is located across the street from Seoul American High School, beginning about 12:15 p.m.
