University of Maryland University College honored veterans and active duty military service members at the Baltimore Ravens game on Sunday, Nov. 4 through its sponsorship with the team and the National Football League’s annual Salute to Service campaign.

UMUC employees staffed a tent on Ravens Walk, outside of M&T Bank Stadium, that featured a large banner for fans to sign and thank military personnel for their service. The Ravens will be taking the banner overseas to present to troops serving abroad.

In addition to a host of activities geared toward honoring active-duty military personnel and veterans, four A-10 Warthogs of the Maryland National Guard performed a flyover at the conclusion of the national anthem prior to the game.

After the anthem and prior to kick-off, Ravens players were introduced and led onto the field by service members carrying American flags representing each branch of the service.  Musician First Class Kenny Ray Horton, a member of the U.S. Navy, sang the national anthem.
