UMGC Global Media Center UMUC Mainland Japan Commencement Details Announced

UMUC Mainland Japan Commencement will be on April 8, 2017

The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at Akishima Kotori Hall in Akishima, Tokyo, Japan. Guest seating will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The ceremony will include a keynote address by the Honorable Yutaka Kawashima, former Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs and former Grand Chamberlain to the Emperor of Japan.

James B. Cronin, UMUC Vice President and Director, Asia, will preside over the ceremony. An honorary degree will be awarded to Mr. Kawashima and the Honorable Hiroshi Fukuda.

In addition to the ceremony itself, there will be a post-commencement reception held in the same location, beginning around 4 p.m.
