VIDEO of Korea Ceremony

The ceremony will begin at 2 p.m. at Seoul American High School Auditorium, USAG Yongsan, Seoul, Korea. Guest seating will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The ceremony will include keynote address by Lieutenant General Thomas S. Vandal, Commanding General of the Eighth Army. LTG Vandal is also the Chief of Staff of United Nations Command.

James B. Cronin, UMUC Vice President and Director, Asia, will preside over the ceremony. The Stanley J. Drazek Teaching Excellence Award will be presented to Gary Laugel, PhD, during the ceremony. An honorary degree will be awarded to LTG Vandal. Music will be provided by the Eighth Army Band.

In addition to the ceremony itself, there will be a post-commencement reception held at Dragon Hill Lodge, which is located across the street from Seoul American High School, beginning around 3:15 p.m.

Due to the limited space at the event, we ask that each graduate brings a maximum of four guests to the ceremony and reception.
