University of Maryland University College was the cover story of The Washington Post Magazine on Sunday, November 3. The feature tells the story of UMUC's beginnings as a trailblazer in educating adult students—many were returning veterans from World War II—in Maryland and with the military overseas.
The article focuses on UMUC's popular cyber security programs, including the wonderful championship run of the UMUC Cyber Padawans in the Maryland Cyber Challenge in October.
Jeff Tjiputra, coach of the UMUC Cyber Padawans and academic director of UMUC's undergraduate cyber security programs, said in the story, fittingly:
" … [UMUC] has good students. We have good faculty and good alumni.
" … Here we are."
Here we are, indeed!
