Deferred Direct Bill Program Details

UMGC is excited to offer a deferred direct bill payment option for Booz Allen employees. The deferred direct bill payment option enables employees to enroll in learning opportunities with no upfront costs. This payment option will require the employee to sign a Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) agreement with UMGC to release grades/completion to Booz Allen  to satisfy the FlexEd Program completion requirement. Note: UMGC may also be used for the FlexEd Program reimbursement payment option.

Smart Track Program Details

If you are an eligible Booz Allen employee, you can save on the cost of your undergraduate or graduate degree at UMGC when you enroll in Smart Track.

  • Undergraduate students will be able to take up to 18 credits per calendar year for no more than $5,250 (tuition over $5,250 will be waived up to 18 credits; anything over 18 credits will be charged to the student at the rate of $291 per credit for the remainder of the calendar year).
  • Graduate students who enroll in standard programs will be able to take up to 21 credits per calendar for no more than $10,000 (tuition over $10,000 will be waived up to 21 credits; anything over 21 credits will be charged to the student at the rate of $514 per credit. This rate is based on current UMGC tuition rates).
  • Graduate students who enroll in specialty programs (our MBA, most cyber programs, or data analytics programs) will be able to take up to 18 credits per calendar year for no more than $10,000 (tuition over $10,000 will be waived up to 18 credits; anything over 18 credits will be charged to the student at the rate of $694 per credit).

Once you’ve reached the annual credit amounts listed above for your specific program, you can continue to take additional classes at UMGC. In addition, you may be eligible for tuition savings under the special discount program.

Under the Smart Track program, course technology fees will also be waived. Plus, if you're a new student, you can save $50 with our application fee waiver.

To be eligible for Smart Track, you must be

  • A Booz Allen employee
  • Pursuing a standard undergraduate or any graduate program at UMGC

Graduate students must be eligible for $10,000 in annual tuition assistance to enter into the Smart Track program.

Special Discount Program

Even if you’re not eligible for Smart Track, you, your spouse, and your legal dependents may be eligible to receive a discount of up to 25 percent on out-of-state tuition for all undergraduate and standard graduate programs thanks to UMGC’s alliance with Bright Horizons EdAssist Solutions.

If you are enrolled in Smart Track, your spouse and your legal dependents may still take advantage of the up to 25 percent out-of-state tuition discount. If you are not eligible for or choose not to enroll in Smart Track, you can still take advantage of the discount program for eligible employees. However, you cannot leave the Smart Track program and receive discounts within the same calendar year. Plus, new students can save $50 when they apply to UMGC with our application fee waiver.

Tuition Discount Details

This discount will be applied to out-of-state tuition for eligible students in most programs.* This discount cannot be combined with certain scholarships or discount programs, including the Maryland Completion Scholarship, the Military New Graduate Student Savings Program, the Alumni Succeed Again Scholarship, and the discount for out-of-state community college alliances. Discounted tuition rates may not fall below the standard in-state rate or any special tuition rate offered to eligible activity-duty military servicemembers, their spouses, or dependents.
