Thanks to a dual admission agreement between UMGC and Carroll, eligible Carroll students can complete their associate degree while simultaneously enrolling at UMGC. Save money thanks to our app free waiver and scholarship opportunities; transfer your credits seamlessly and begin as a junior-level student; and earn a career-relevant bachelor's degree in two years or less!

Explore the Dual Enrollment Program

As part of our dual enrollment program with Carroll, UMGC will

  • Accept students who have attended or graduated from Carroll with an associate degree if the students completed and submitted UMGC's application for admission and have met UMGC's admission criteria
  • Provide dual admission program graduates junior class status (60–70 credits) with respect to registration
  • Accept a minimum of 60 credits earned at Carroll, including
    • All general education coursework from Carroll, which will be applied toward the requirements of the bachelor's degree
    • Up to 45 credits in transfer through high school articulation agreements and Carroll's documented prior learning that were applied to the associate degree
  • Provide full-time students admitted to UMGC with junior status the opportunity to complete a bachelor's degree at UMGC within two academic years, provided the student completes the appropriate associate degree at Carroll and completes and appropriately sequences the remaining coursework at UMGC
