January
Watch for a save-the-date e-mail with a link to our Adelphi Commencement website. (You must be a summer or fall graduate, or have applied for spring graduation, to receive this e-mail.) The commencement website will give you all the details about our upcoming May ceremonies.
February
Commencement registration opens. Watch for an e-mail with instructions on how to register for the ceremony using UMGC's online commencement registration system. If you are an overseas student interested in participating in the stateside ceremony, please let your overseas division know or contact us at commencement@umgc.edu.
To participate in the commencement ceremony, you must apply for graduation by the deadline. (If you graduated in summer or fall, you have already done so.)
Registration is vital if you plan to attend the Adelphi Commencement. In addition to registering to attend the ceremony, you may

March
If you live nearby, you are encouraged to attend the Commencement Fair, where you may order regalia, announcements, class rings, diploma frames, and other commencement memorabilia on-site. Personnel from UMGC's Alumni Association and several university offices will be on hand at this event to answer your questions and help you prepare for the big day.
April
This is a good time to review your preparations for commencement next month. Make sure you have ordered your regalia, sent out your announcements, and made any special arrangements, if needed.
May
The Doctoral Commencement is held on Thursday evening of commencement week. All candidates for the Doctor of Management degree participate in this combined hooding and conferral ceremony, followed by a reception.
Our Saturday (morning and afternoon) and Sunday afternoon ceremonies will recognize associate, bachelor's, and master's degree recipients. Visit the Adelphi Commencement website for details about who is eligible to participate in commencement.
The weekend ceremonies are held at the Xfinity Center on the campus of the University of Maryland, College Park. Refer to the Commencement website for further details about participating in commencement. If you still have questions, contact Commencement Services at commencement@umgc.edu.
