Credit for Industry Certification
& Professional Courses

Turn your industry credentials into college credit.

University of Maryland Global Campus accepts many industry-standard certifications and professional courses for college credit. To be considered for credit, please send a record of your industry certification(s) to studentrecords@umgc.edu after you apply to UMGC. Computer certifications must have been earned within the past five years to be considered.

Certification Articulations

You may be able to earn credit for industry certifications. UMGC articulates credit for several industry certifications as follows:

Credit for Professional Courses

You may be able to receive credit for ACE-reviewed courses, which are listed in the National Guide to College Credit for Workforce Training, and courses reviewed by the National College Credit Recommendation Service.

To be considered for credit, please have the organization(s) where you took the course(s) send a record of your course completion and the syllabus for the course (s) to studentrecords@umgc.edu after you apply to UMGC.
