The Overseas Marylanders Association—faculty and staff who worked for UMGC outside the United States—came together to honor servicemembers on Veteran’s Day, toast a new university gallery dedicated to Asian art and share stories about their experiences as professors who traveled the world to teach military personnel on bases—and even in war zones.

Military personnel seek out UMGC because of its award-winning cybersecurity programs, including its highly successful cybersecurity competition teams. To increase awareness of the teams, and to attract prospective students to UMGC’s cyber programs on the bases, SMO often hosts cyber competitions and other on-site events.

A new Education and Resiliency Center has opened at Ft. George G. Meade in Maryland to offer an array of services for veterans and their families and to provide a new University of Maryland Global Campus office at the military facility.

University of Maryland Global Campus has announced Winter Grad Walk 2022, an in-person and online experience designed to place the spotlight directly on graduates and their achievements, Dec. 16-18.

Responding to an ever-changing business market, the School of Business at University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) has launched two new certificate programs in Digital and Multicultural marketing.
