Join the UMGC community for a presentation in observance of Veterans Day to hear how a respected Maryland nonprofit is helping homeless veterans get their lives back on track and become productive members of their communities. Jeffery Kendrick, who heads up the Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training, known as MCVET, will explain the comprehensive strategy the organization uses to help veterans in need get back on their feet.

Kendrick is himself a military veteran, retired, having served for more than 20 years as a member of the U.S. Air Force. His career focused on information technology; his assignments took him to the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, and Korea, as well as to bases in Nevada, Wyoming, South Carolina, and Maryland.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited to join us for this free presentation on Friday, November 18, from noon to 1 p.m. at the UMGC Academic Center at Largo Auditorium. Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited, so please register early.
