Vivens believes every one of us comes into the world the same way, but not all of us are born into the same world. Though we may not have a choice about how our lives begin, we are responsible for how we spend the rest of the time we have left. The purpose of her rules is to provoke thought and give personal and professional direction, as well as spiritual guidance, to those who are struggling with life.
About the Speaker: Dr. Vivens journey began as a teenager from Haiti who emigrated to theUnited States. Evolving from a factory laborer, into an entrepreneurial titan and policy maker in the healthcare industry. Through determination and courage in the face of poverty, language barriers, racism, immigration hurdles, and sexism, Dr. Vivens built a multi-million-dollar business empire in the politically fraught climate of Washington, DC. Dr. Vivens believes every one of us comes into the world the same way, but not all of us are born into the same world. Though we may not have a choice about how our lives begin, we are responsible for how we spend the rest of the time we have left.
