About UMGC

Anna Seferian is acting dean of the School of Business at UMGC. In that role, she is responsible for the overall strategy and operations of the School of Business. In addition to her role as acting dean, Seferian continues to serve as associate dean of the School of Business. She joined UMGC in 2007 as an adjunct instructor and since then has led several departments and managed multiple academic programs at the university.

Seferian brings more than 20 years of experience in education, marketing, and marketing research fields to her role and is fluent in English, Russian, and Armenian. She holds a PhD in advertising with an emphasis in marketing and psychology from the University of Texas at Austin, an MBA from the American University of Armenia, and a BS in international economics from Yerevan State University in Armenia.
