Recent Barnes & Noble Breach Included Customers’ Personal Information
According to a report on www.securitymagazine.com, Barnes & Noble notified customers on Oct. 10 that it had been the victim of a cybersecurity attack, which resulted in unauthorized and unlawful access to certain Barnes & Noble corporate systems and may have affected customers’ personal information. The company said that customers’ payment details had not been exposed, as it uses technology that encrypts all credit cards.
