At University of Maryland Global Campus, we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has upended the lives of many of our students. Now, as always, UMGC is offering financial resources to help you achieve your educational goals. Because at UMGC, we're not just made for you—we're here for you.

Interest-Free Monthly Payment Plan

With UMGC's interest-free monthly payment plan, students can manage their education costs by paying tuition over the course of several months, rather than in one lump sum. These monthly payment plans are both manageable and interest-free, making it easier for you to pursue your educational goals.

UMGC Student Aid Fund for Emergency Relief (SAFER)

UMGC's Student Aid Fund for Emergency Relief (SAFER) was established to assist UMGC students worldwide who are experiencing financial hardship due to an unforeseen emergency. This fund is designed to help students in several areas of need, including housing, course material fees, and childcare.

Other Resources

We strongly recommend that you review the following financial resources:

  • Federal Financial Aid: If you don't already have a FAFSA on file, it is strongly recommended that you do so. Keep in mind that a completed FAFSA application can help determine your eligibility for scholarships and grants, as well as student loans.

    • NOTE: If you are seeking financial assistance for the fall 2020, winter 2021, or spring 2021 terms, you should complete the 2020–2021 FAFSA. If you are interested in being considered for financial assistance in the summer 2021, fall 2021, winter 2022, or spring 2022 terms, you should complete the 2021–2022 FAFSA.

  • UMGC's Veterans Assistance Fund: If you are a veteran, please review UMGC's Veterans Assistance Fund to see if you may be qualified for additional funding assistance through this program. If you have questions regarding your eligibility or anything related to the fund, please contact the Vessey Veterans Resource Center.

  • Maryland Higher Education Commission: If you are a Maryland resident, you can visit the MHEC website for information about the different financial assistance programs you might be eligible for. If you are not a Maryland resident, please check your state's department of education website for any opportunities that may be available to you.
