UMGC recognized student artists with awards at the opening reception of the Maryland High School Juried Art Exhibition. On display in the UMGC Arts Program Gallery through April 2, the juried exhibition, featuring 51 works from student artists, is designed to bring attention to the talents of students statewide and to support them as they transition to the next level of their artistic careers. Guest jurors Cheryl Edwards, artist, and Julie B. Westendorff, executive director, Allegany Arts Council, selected the artwork and award winners for the exhibition.
Six award winners were announced at the opening reception on February 12.
