Applied Probability and Statistics

STAT 400 | 3 Credits

Course Desc: Prerequisite: MATH 141. An intermediate study of statistical and probabilistic theory. The aim is to apply quantitative tools for decision making and interpret statistical results in professional literature and the media. Topics include random variables, standard distributions, sampling methods, law of large numbers and the Central Limit Theorem, moments, estimations of parameters, and testing of hypotheses.
