Administrative Law

LGST 330 | 3 Credits

Course Desc: Prerequisite: LGST 201. An overview of the functions and procedures of federal and state administrative agencies. The goal is to monitor and analyze administrative agency actions in order to make recommendations to proposed and final agency rules and administrative decisions. Topics include rulemaking, adjudication, the use and control of agency discretion, and disclosure of information. Focus is on researching relevant law and writing effective and persuasive communications for use in administrative adjudications or to obtain information held by government agencies. Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: LGST 330 or PLGL 330.
