Healthcare Financial Management

HMGT 322 | 3 Credits

Course Desc: Prerequisite: HMGT 300 (or BMGT 361) and HMGT 310. An overview of the acquisition, allocation, and management of the financial resources of healthcare organizations. Economic and accounting practices are discussed in terms of budget administration, cost analysis, financial strategies, and internal controls. The goal is to examine financial information and regulatory requirements and policies, identify issues and solve problems, and make sound financial decisions in the healthcare field. Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: HMGT 322 or HMGT 440.
