Management in Health Care Organizations

HMGT 320 | 3 Credits

Course Desc: Prerequisite: HMGT 307. An introduction to management in the health care services field. The aim is to explain key management concepts and apply them to the management of health services organizations. Discussion covers the management skills and capabilities that are essential for effective supervision and leadership. An overview of the unique requirements of health care organizations and their management is provided. Focus is on the application of essential management and leadership skills in a health care environment. Students may receive credit for only one of the following courses: BMGT 367 or HMGT 320.
