Get Started and Register

It’s easy to get started. Whether you're focused on advancing your career or continuing your education, UMGC offers the ideal program to help you reach your goal.

1

Meet with Bright Horizons: Bright Horizons Education Access participants must complete and submit their tuition assistance application online. Have questions? Schedule a session with an expert Bright Horizons Education Access student success coach.

2

Apply for admission to UMGC: Complete the online application for admission. It typically takes about 10 minutes. Be sure to select your employer or organization on the application form.

3

Provide your letter of credit: Submit a Letter of Credit to cls@umgc.edu before you start your courses each term. Be sure to use the $291 per credit tuition rate. If you are using tuition reimbursement, you do not need to submit a letter of credit.

4

Verify your employment: Complete a tuition benefits verification form for each term that you plan to enroll in courses. Be sure to fill out the proper form. UMGC has a separate verification form for employees/members and spouses/dependents.

5

Earn credit for your education and eligible experience: Submit your official transcripts from any previous institutions of higher education.

6

Register for classes: Once you're admitted to UMGC, you will receive a student ID (EmplID) so you can register for courses online. Check the schedule of classes to view courses, and then register for classes online using the MyUMGC Student Portal.
